The man, a tree of words
the words blossom forth
on the chapped lips
the fruit would be the gestures
the accomplishments
but people forget the source
you can repeat the sutras of Buddha
but never will you be able to smile
like Him, you can repeat the words
of Jesus Christ but no one will crucify you
that’s exactly what the priests,
the missionaries, and Jehovah’s witnesses do
many carry The New Testament around with them,
cite quotations from The New Testament
repeat words and no one crucifies them
but when Jesus Christ was uttering them
He filled the whole universe with His vision of fire ‒
in other mouths these sound like the devil
not even an ant can be crucified ‒ let’s drink
his spring, let’s swallow his lightning
let’s pursue the goal of being reborn each
and every moment as does the blade of grass
as does the dew let the light amazingly
pulchritudinous soul go to the other shore
let him be named again.
